Challenge

In the diamond processing industry, precision is everything. The client faced challenges in maintaining consistency and precision during laser-based diamond cutting. Manual control over parameters such as laser power, beam angle, and rotation speed often resulted in quality variations, material loss, and production delays. They needed a software-driven automation system that could ensure uniform accuracy across all cuts while simplifying the operator’s role.

Solution

We developed a Delphi-based control and monitoring system tightly integrated with the client’s laser cutting hardware. The solution enabled real-time control over key cutting parameters, dynamically adjusting laser intensity and movement paths based on pre-set specifications.

The system also incorporated sensor feedback and visualization, allowing operators to monitor the process in real time through graphical dashboards. This automation eliminated manual guesswork and optimized the cutting process for precision and efficiency. Further enhancements were also done to the system as per client’s request.
